Let us discuss despair swiftly
not dwell here for all time,
your pain like mine
caged in our eyes
as shadows melt and hush the light
and darkness comes to bruise the sky,

Meanwhile

The rain hydrates
seeds germinate
songs from birds
strike perfect chords
and colour is its own reward,

So let us leave and close this door
nod and smile
and rise to grace
with voices clear
feet firm in place,
