"She Contains Multitudes" Limited edition print
The latest of my ‘running wolf’ paintings, in this piece I seek to capture something of the Goddess residing in our beings. I chose to have the rider in a squatting position rather than standing as in all my other paintings containing the running wolf motif, because I wanted her to feel grounded, and powerfully ‘in her body’. An echo of the idea that we are all made of stardust, her body is also made of stars, she ‘contains’ galaxies. The white serpent she bears is a symbol of transformation, inner power, working with our shadow aspects to better understand, and elevate ourselves as beings. The lunar phases are a nod to the cyclic shifting of our energies and the phases that we cycle through in our lives, both the menstrual phases and the maiden-mother-crone transitions that women experience. The mountains represent the many and multifaceted challenges we will encounter on our journeys. The bones beneath the feet of the desert dog/wolf (I’m not even sure what animal it is!) represent the connection to the ancestors, both human and non-human.
While deciding on the title for this piece, I conferred with my husband – the choice was between “she carries multitudes” and “she contains multitudes”, and we agreed that the former suggested she carries a multitude of ‘things’ perhaps placed upon her by society, whereas what I want to convey is the multitudes she carries/contains WITHIN. The many versions of herself, the creative and life-giving potential, the ancient wisdom of the stars.

All prints and sketches are wrapped in acid free tissue paper, then recycled brown paper and shipped flat between 2 double-walled cardboard sheets. ** PLEASE NOTE** packages will not fit through standard letter box so you need to have a safe and dry place where deliveries can be left/collected.
DAMAGE TO PACKAGING
In the rare instance that damage occurs to packaging affecting the print, please take a photo of the damage to help with insurance claims. Thanks!

Care instructions
Please do not leave your order in packaging for long periods. Packaging may get damp on its journey to you, causing the tape adhesive to leach and creating some discolouration around the edges of the print. This has happened in a VERY tiny proportions of orders (less than 0.03%!), but I would hate for it to happen to any more. To be on the safe side, make sure your print is removed from its packaging as soon as it is practical to do so, and stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight. The archival inks will not fade but it's always a better idea to keep artwork out of direct sunlight.

For small and medium prints, international shipping is also free. For LARGE PRINTS (16") international shipping is free on orders over £150. This is because large prints must be shipped by courier.
EU customers - import duties will be payable by the receiver. If you want these to be calculated beforehand, please go to my Etsy shop where taxes are applied at checkout so that items move through customs smoothly. For my prints on Etsy please use this link.
